Roberts County Jail Policies and Procedures
Intake Procedures
The jail intake procedure at the Roberts County Jail takes you through each of the following steps:
You will be placed in a waiting area or cell. If there are a lot of arrests, it will take a while to get processed.
You will answer some simple questions, like what is your full name, your address, birth date and an emergency contact person, and they’ll also ask you about your medical and mental history. Next, you’ll be given an inmate number and your fingerprints will be taken. Then, all personal property will be taken away from you and will be stored until you are released.
You will get to make a phone call to call a member of your family, friend, or loved one.
If they expect that you will make bail and be released quickly, you might get to wear your street clothes, but if you are not expected to make bail quickly you you will be given a jail uniform – the jumpsuit.
Discharge Procedures
When you finally post bail, you will be allowed to leave jail. Getting discharged will take from 10 minutes to quite a few hours. In other words the faster you can post bail, the faster you can get released from jail. Also, how fast you get released can depend on whether or not you’ve got a cash bond amount or if the judge needs to decide on how much to set your bail at. For minor charges, you will get booked and get released without having to post bail. When you get to the end of your sentence and know the release date, expect to get released at any time that day – but usually in the morning.

For state prisons and local jails finding out how to decrease your inmates phone charges is more difficult. ArrestedResources.com keeps up to date with all of the changes that affect your inmate’s calling rate and in most cases is able to offer you an inmate calling number that will save you a lot of money on calling your inmate. In some cases, we won’t be able to save you any money, and therefore we will not offer you an inmate calling number. In these cases, the facility has set their calling prices so high that nobody can save you money.
