Lincoln County Jail Policies and Procedures
Intake Procedures
The jail intake process at the Lincoln County Jail includes each of these steps:
You will get put in a holding cell. If there are a lot of arrests, you will have to wait a while to get processed.
The first thing you will have to to is you will answer some simple questions, like your full name, your address, birthdate and an emergency contact, and they’ll also ask about your psychological and medical history. Next, you will be issued an inmate ID and your fingerprints will be taken. Then, all of your personal property will be taken away from you and stored until you are released.
They will let you use the phone to get in touch with family, friends, or loved one.
If they expect that you will make bail and be released quickly, you might be allowed to keep wearing your own clothes, if not you you will be given a jail uniform.
Discharge Procedures
Once bail has been posted, you will be discharged from jail. Getting discharged may take anywhere from 15 minutes to all day long. In other words the faster bail is posted, the faster you will be freed. It also depends on whether or not you’ve got a cash bond or if the magistrate still needs to determine the amount of bail to be set. For a minor charge, you will be booked and get released without having to post bail. If you have served a sentence in jail and know the release date, you should expect to be released at any time that day – but usually in the morning.

The prices are posted and there are at least two different prices based on where the inmate is calling. The following three things will determine how much an inmate phone call will cost: Where you are located; Where your inmate is located, What type of phone number you have.
For example, if your inmate is in federal prison, if you get a new local number then this will decrease your inmate’s phone call rate from $.21 per minute to only $.06 per minute.
For state prisons and local jails finding out how to decrease your inmates phone charges is more difficult. ArrestedResources.com is an expert in keeping up with all of the changes that affect your inmate’s calling rate and in most cases is able to offer you an inmate calling number that will save you a lot of money on calling your inmate. There are some prisons or jails where we won’t be able to save you any money, and therefore we will not offer you an inmate calling number. In cases like this, the jail has set their phone call rates so high that nobody will be able to save you money.
