You will get put in a holding cell. If there are a lot of arrests, you will have to wait a while to get processed.
First, you will have to answer a number of questions, like what is your full legal name, home address, birth date and an emergency contact person, and they’ll also ask about your medical and mental history. Next, you will be issued an inmate number and you will be fingerprinted. Then, any personal property you have will be taken away from you and will be stored until you are released.
They will allow you to make a telephone call to get in touch with a family member, friend, or loved-on.
If you are expected to be released shortly, you might get to keep wearing street clothes, otherwise you will be issued a jail issued jumpsuit.
Discharge Procedures
When you post bail, you will be allowed to leave jail. The discharge process takes between 10 minutes to hours or even all day long. So, the quicker you post bail, the quicker you will be freed. Also, it depends on whether you have a cash bond amount or if a judge has to decide on how much your bail will be. When you have served your sentence and have a release date, you should expect to be discharged at any time that day – but usually in the morning.

How To Save Money on Inmate Calls
Correctional facility phone service providers have exclusive contracts at every facility that they are the exclusive phone provider for, which means that they get to set the prices. The money these phone service providers make off of all of the phone calls that inmates make are split with the facility, so there is no incentive for the jail or the counselors at the facility to show inmates or their family how to save money on inmate phone calls at the Clinton County Jail. The rates are posted and there are at least two different prices based on where the inmate is calling. These three things will determine how much an inmate phone call will cost: Where you are located; Where your inmate is located, What type of phone number you have.
For example, if your inmate is in federal prison, if you get a new local number then this will decrease your inmate’s phone call rate from $.21 per minute to only $.06 per minute.
For the other correctional facilities like state prisons, and local and county jails figuring out how to lower your inmates phone charges is more difficult. ArrestedResources.com is an expert in keeping up with all of the changes that affect your inmate’s rate and in most cases is able to offer you an inmate calling number that will save you a lot of money on inmate phone calls. There are some circumstances where we will not be able to save you any money, and therefore we will not offer you an inmate calling number. In these cases, the facility has set their phone rates in a way that nobody can save you money.
